Big Car receives $50,000 grant from The Glick Fund
The Glick Fund, a fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF), has announced a $50,000 grant to the arts, creativity and livability organization Big Car. In total, 37 local organizations received grants from The Glick Fund totaling more than $2.5 million. This is the first time for Big Car to receive a grant from The Glick Fund.
"We're excited to be working with The Glick Fund to further our efforts to boost livability in Indianapolis by bringing art to people and people to art,” said Big Car executive director Jim Walker. "And we're thrilled to have this opportunity to expand our reach to new areas as we strive to help make Indianapolis a more creative and connected city."
Half of the grant dollars are linked to Big Car completing a project in the Far Eastside area located within the 46235 zip code. This project will, most likely, focus on art, creativity and creative place making. The Glick Fund grant will provide a one-to-one match of up to $25,000, helping give Big Car up to $50,000 to work with in the area. This comes in addition to $25,000 in general operating funding from The Glick Fund.
