Celebrating Neighborday in Lafayette Square
We have so many awesome things happening April 27 as we celebrate Neighborday in the Lafayette Square neighborhood. Here are some options: You can volunteer in our garden at Service Center located at 3819 Lafayette Rd. (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.), participate in a Home Herbalist workshop with Greg Monzel (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) or make and fly a kite (noon to 3:30 p.m.) or do it all! That day we also host the Mobile Food Pantry, presented Muslim Alliance of Indiana from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Just down the street, our neighbors and friends at Georgetown Market (4375 Georgetown Rd.), host their Spring Into Wellness Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
To cap it all off at 4 p.m., let's go for a ride with hundreds of others down the middle of blocked-off city streets in Mayor Ballard's Spring Fever Bike Ride sponsored by Georgetown Market. Starting and ending at Service Center, the 12-mile ride will pass through several Northwest side neighborhoods a stretch of White River Parkway. After the ride, hang out at Service Center and sip some Sun King. Wow, sounds like a great day!
