Levitt VIBE Indianapolis is back in 2026!
Big Car Collaborative and Arte Mexicano en Indiana are excited to present the third season of the Levitt VIBE Indianapolis Music Series, part of the national Levitt VIBE program supported by the Los-Angeles-based Levitt Family Foundation! This year, we’ll continue bringing FREE, family-friendly live concerts to the Contemporary Art Museum of Indianapolis (CAMi) campus.
And — excitingly — the Levitt Family Foundation has announced matching support for the series through 2028!
When: Noon to 3 p.m. on April 12, May 3, June 7, July 12, Aug. 9, Sept. 13, Oct. 11, and Nov. 8 (all first or second Sundays of the month)
The May concert aligns with the opening weekend of our 40,000-square-foot campus expansion, the CAMi main building! And, the expansion will be open to the public during regular campus hours and during VIBE concerts from May onwards.
Where: Join us outdoors on our CAMi campus in the Terri Sisson Park greenspace located at 1125 Cruft St. Concerts will be moved inside the Tube or CAMi main building in the case of bad weather (rain, storms, extreme heat). We’ll announce this change on the morning of the concert. But the shows will always happen — just outside or in.
What: Free multi-genre outdoor concerts and creative community gatherings April through November.
Why: To bring additional liveliness to our neighborhood with free outdoor music experiences and fun, and creative social gatherings.
Who: Big Car Collaborative and Arte Mexicano produce the 2026 series with the Levitt Family Foundation as the lead sponsor with additional sponsors.
Genres represented: Jazz, Latin, classical, world, ambient, electronic, soul, pop and rock, folk, and more.
These free events also include:
- Food truck on-site for April + May dates & CAMi café open June + beyond
- Open picnicking (people can bring their own food and drink)
- Some provided seating (attendees encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets)
- Markets featuring local artisans and vendors May – Nov.
- CAMi campus galleries open
- Bean Creek Outlook and Terri Sisson Park nature spaces open
What other than music will be happening? We’re excited to continue sharing opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to get creative, learn about art and nature, and connect with others. This will happen through activities we’ll offer at all events designed and facilitated by artists. These activities may be linked to the public art in the park on our campus where VIBE happens. The park sculptures include the Indianapolis Bee Sanctuary, the Chicken Chapel of Love, our Chicken Palace chicken coop, and Sam Van Aken’s Tree of 40 Fruit. Get ready to have fun, send a postcard, make a poem, talk to a neighbor, dance to some music, and learn along the way.

Levitt VIBE Indianapolis 2025
Building on the momentum of a highly successful 2024 launch, Big Car Collaborative presented an expanded season of free, family-friendly outdoor concerts in 2025 in partnership with Arte Mexicano en Indiana as part of the Levitt Foundation’s national VIBE program. The seven-month run took place from April through October outdoors at the Tube Factory (now CAMi) campus in Garfield Park.
The 2025 series featured a wide-ranging, multi-genre lineup spanning indie rock, Latin, folk, jazz, ambient, soul, pop, and traditional global music and dance. Artists included Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Girl in a Coma, Gamelan Mojomanis, Don Slepian, Sound Ecologies, Mariachi Band Zelaya, Ballet Folklórico Mosaicos, Technicolor Band, and Florelis Jimenez, among others.
In addition to live music, each concert functioned as a creative community gathering, featuring food trucks, artisan and themed markets, and pop-ups from local partners. Artist-led activities — such as postcard coloring and collaborative mural painting — invited attendees of all ages to engage creatively while exploring the park’s public art and ecological installations.

Levitt VIBE Indianapolis 2024
In 2024, we hosted seven concerts across seven Sundays with a diverse range of performances in September and October. The series happened at Garfield Park in Indianapolis, on the near southside of the city, specifically in front of the Garfield Park Arts Center and near the park’s historic pagoda pavilion.

We partnered with Arte Mexicano en Indiana to help bring in a diverse Spanish-speaking audience to our VIBE concerts. Arte Mexicano played a key role in booking at least one Latine artist per event, as well as promoting the concerts to their Spanish-speaking community. And we partnered with IndyParks and the City of Indianapolis for use of the public space. Garfield Park Neighbors Association, Bean Creek neighborhood, and the Friends of Garfield Park also supported the series by promoting it in our community.
Some artists from 2024 included: Girl Ultra, Bitchin Bajas, Elisa Harkins, Mina and the Wondrous Flying Machine, Native Sun and Lasana Kazembe, Allison Victoria, Eli Winter Trio, and more. You can hear some of their music in the playlist below.
