Brick Street South Poetry Series features a poet and an open mic the third Thursday of every month.  September’s featured poet and writer is Gregg DeBoor.

Born a bastard adopted by poetry, Gregg DeBoor is an advocate for those who stay up late at night and never stop being good to what they love. He’s a fellow author on Chatter House Press after having published his first book Street Girls Have Guns. He is also the winner of the 2011 Indianapolis Grand Slam. In Gregg’s words, poetry (not sure if this the word you meant by “it’s”. If not, then we can change it.) is all about the inner monologue and trusting yourself to listen.

Gregg is a touring and spoken word performance artist. For the past three years he has toured throughout the Midwest and East Coast at some of the most prominent venues of today.
