Defame is a producer/beatmaker/artist residing in Indianapolis, IN.
Raised on a musical diet that consisted of hand-me-down home dubbed rap tapes and whatever was beaming through the TV; this seasoned beatsmith weaves beats, samples, instruments and textures into samplers and computers to create a fuzzy, yet melodic, head nodding atmosphere. With several albums, EP’s, and collaborations under his belt, defame continues to push himself in new directions on his sonic palette.Over the last year he has been organizing “State Street Beats”, a producer-centric event held every other month at State Street Pub, giving a platform to producers and beatmakers to share their creations in a live setting as well as offering “The Open Aux”, an open-mic type segment of the evening but for producers to plug in and speak with their sounds.
