About Ronald David Lora-Castillo.
Ronald’s influences are simple. He looks for the writing on the wall. Growing up he was always fascinated by the subversive political graffiti of Dominican Republic, and Brooklyn, NY as much as by the cave paintings of Lascaux, in France. His primitive, and brut style dances with topics such as mental health, ecology and technology through his personal experience. He is inspired by artists such as Basquiat and Dubuffet for their treatment of street and outsider art. Ronald seeks to touch on universal emotions and situations through the language of primitive man, Art.
