Mexico’s Third Root: Afro-Mexican.

In honor of black history month we will take a look at a rich history and cultural of Afro-Mexicans especially from communities in the Pacific coastal regions of Southern Mexico. We will also examine how these communities are changing politically and culturally in Mexico.  This Conversation will be led by Eduardo Luna born and raised in Southern Mexico with family ties in the  Afro-Mexica community.

En honor al mes de la historia negra, echaremos un vistazo a una rica historia y cultura de afro-mexicanos, especialmente de comunidades en las regiones costeras del Pacífico del sur de México. También examinaremos cómo estas comunidades están cambiando política y culturalmente en México. Esta Conversación será dirigida por Eduardo Luna, nacido y criado en el sur de México con lazos familiares en la  comunidad  Afro-Mexicana.
