Started by Indianapolis-artist Philip H Campbell in 1994, Masterpiece In A Day is a site-specific, multi-genre, one-day art competition in Fountain Square neighborhood. Entrants create an original work of art and then a panel of judges select the winners of each category. During Big Car’s management of the event, 10,000 people attended and $5,000 in prize money was provided each year to visual artists, writers, musicians and actors.
