Assembled by Big Car lead artist and CEO Jim Walker, the portable Noise Box – featuring contact mics hooked up to loop pedals, Buddha Machines, a theremin, and a mixer – encourages people of all ages to collaborate to make spontaneous compositions and sound art while exploring technology and working together. This is for trained musicians and novices alike.
Usually housed at Tube Factory artspace, the Noise Box also travels with the Wagon of Wonders, visits Listen Hear and offers an easy-to-access experience with sound as a material for art – for anybody. Listen to some recordings here.
