Big Car Collaborative, Arte Mexicano en Indiana, and our partners are excited to be part of a national program of the Los Angeles-based Levitt Foundation to bring FREE, family-friendly, live concerts to Garfield Park in Fall 2024 — and continuing in 2025 — as part of the new Levitt VIBE Indianapolis series!

When: Sept. 1, 8, 22, & 29 + Oct. 6, 13, & 20, All on Sundays noon to 3 p.m.
Where: The lawn by the Garfield Park Art Center (GPAC), on the near southside of Indianapolis. 2432 Conservatory Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46203. Of note, the Garfield Park Art Center, thanks to IndyParks, will be open from 11:30 am until 3:30 pm on the days of the concerts. And people will be able to visit the center’s art gallery and access restrooms from the west entrance near the lawn where the concerts will take place.
What: Seven Sundays of free multi-genre outdoor concerts and creative community gatherings in September and October.
Why: To bring additional liveliness to an underused area of our neighborhood park with free outdoor music experiences and neighborly, inclusive, fun, and creative social gatherings.
Who: Arte Mexicano en Indiana and Big Car are collaborating with our partners at the City of Indianapolis/Indy Parks, local and national musicians, local vendors, artists, and poets — with the Bean Creek and Garfield Park neighborhoods and the Friends of Garfield Park. And we’re super grateful for very generous sponsorship support from the Levitt Foundation, Efroymson Family Fund, Lumina Foundation, and Citizens Energy!

Event + parking map and directions
- From the east side of the park via Shelby Street going north or south: take the IndyGo Red Line or Pacers Bike Share to Southern and Shelby and follow the Pleasant Run Trail west to the Garfield Park Arts Center.
- If driving north or south on Shelby Street, turn west on Conservatory drive and follow signs to the Garfield Park Arts Center.
- From the south side of the park: on Southern going east or west, turn into the south entrance of Garfield Park and follow Pagoda Drive around to the public parking lot on the west side of Garfield Park.
- From the north side of the park via East Street go south into the park on Pagoda Drive and park at the Burrello Center or public parking.
Accessibility
The best way for people with any mobility challenges to access the concert area is to arrive on the west side of the the Garfield Park Arts Center. Parking on that side as it the same level as the the lawn area that can be reached via accessible sidewalks. The parking lot east of the Garfield Park Arts Center is located down a large hill.

- Desde el lado este del parque por Shelby Street en dirección norte o sur: tome la línea
roja de IndyGo o Pacers Bike Share hasta Southern y Shelby y siga el sendero Pleasant Run

- Si conduce hacia el norte o el sur por Shelby Street, gire hacia el oeste en
